How do I tell my mate about my CF?Telling your mate is a very important thing to do. Your mate should know that you have CF. A relationship should be just like anybody else's. But there are a few things that I would recommend. First, let them know how serious or good you have Cystic Fibrosis. Next, explain what CF is and what you do to control it (tell them what medications you take and when you have to take them). After you tell your boyfriend or girlfriend the basics. They may want to help you with your treatments or remind you to take your pills. A girlfriend or boyfriend will provide great support when you need to talk to somebody. That is if you are close to your partner. I've been married for 9 years (10 on September 11) now and my wife is my best friend and is the best support I could ever have when I need to talk about CF.
