Parker Middle School student Jen Nelson and General McLane student Susie Hoover did independent studies of the benthic macro fauna in Conneautee Creek, Parker Run and Pavkov Stream. Both students won first place awards at the regional Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition, while Jen took a first at the state level and Susie won a second award.
