Parker Middle School students delineated the Parker Run watershed, and created a Hyperstudio presentation of the watershed. In this presentation a watershed map with a grid on it gave the viewer the opportunity to see a digital photograph of any area of the watershed. Overall, it showed that the watershed was almost entirely a pristine woodlands stream, with the exception of a single corn field of about 10 acres. This presentation can be viewed only on a Mac computer.

Also in this year, we were initially confused by the fact that no chemical indicators of sewage appeared in our Pavkov Stream data. We knew, however, that the  General McLane campus sewage treatment plant discharged it's effluent into Pavkov Stream. We discovered that this plant is operated  in an unusual way, in that it retains its sewage until 10:30 am each day when it is discharged in a single 20 minute gush. We had been sampling at 9:30 am on Saturdays. When we adjusted our sampling time, the data looked like a different stream.
