General Directions: Begin with properly cleaned and fired 06 bisque.  Thin down White and apply over entire piece to get into all detail.  When dry, apply another smooth coat of undiluted White.  When dry, apply Hyacinth Blue in small areas wiping back for highlights until entire piece is covered.  Dampen a soft cloth with Solvent to wipe back highlights for an overall even look to antiquing.  Spray with Porcelain Mist to set TL.

Technique

1.        Apply Black TL to the cobblestones and sidewalk.  Wipe back highlights with Solvent to a dark gray color.  Spray.  Randomly drybrush a few stones with Light Gray, Light Umber, Wedgewood Blue and Brick Red.  Highlight sidewalk with Light Gray then further highlight with White.

2.        Apply White Cloud to the center of the sign and bricks.  Make sure to work White Cloud into the mortar areas in bricks.  Spray.  Apply a second coat to sign, spray.  Apply Slate Gray to brick area.  Wipe back highlights and spray.  Drybrush bricks with White until desired color.

3.        Apply Bay Blue to all window frames, front door, roof, sections above door, bottom trim at sidewalk and all dentil trim.  Brighten roof with a thin layer of Hyacinth Blue.  Lightly drybrush windows, roof, front door and sections above door with True Blue.  Tip into White to highlight.

4.        Evenly drybrush trim sections with Royal Plum.  Tip into Dusty Violet to highlight edges then tip into White to further highlight.

5.        Apply 2 coats of Tangelo to sign trim, sections above door, center trim at floor levels and corner trims.  Spray.  Drybrush with Orange.  Tip into Brightest Yellow to highlight then into White to lightly highlight.

6.        Use 2 coats Antique Ivory for the remaining trims at every floor level.  Spray.  Lightly drybrush these areas with Brightest Yellow then tip into White to further highlight.  Use Brightest Yellow to tint the tiny windows in window frames.

7.        Paint remaining section above door and gable ends at roof with Flat Black. Spray.  Evenly drybrush these areas with Shimmering Silver.  Use Shimmering Silver to paint kick plates.  Paint door handles with Glorious Gold.  Drybrush inset round detail of dentil trim with Glorious Gold.

8.        Detail sign as desired then attach.
