General Directions: Begin with properly cleaned and fired 04 bisque.  Thin down White with Media and apply over entire piece to get into all detail.  When dry, apply another smooth coat of undiluted White.  Allow to dry.  Apply Hyacinth Blue in small areas wiping back for highlights until entire piece is covered.  Dampen a soft cloth with Solvent to wipe back further highlights.  Spray with Porcelain Mist to set.

Technique

1.      Randomly paint the stones on the Chapel with Medium Gray, Dark Blue, and Brick Red.  Allow to dry.  Mix equal parts of Grey and Polar White together.  Apply the lighter gray all over the stone areas in a circular motion using all of the color in the brush, spreading it as far as possible in order to keep even tones.  Allow to dry.  Spray with Porcelain Mist.

2.      Paint the steps to the front doors with Medium Gray.

3.      Apply Avocado to the entire roof in a circular motion using all of the color in the brush, spreading it as far as possible.  Allow to dry.  Spray with Porcelain Mist.  Dry brush the roof areas with Turquoise, then highlight with Vanilla Ice.

4.      Paint the grass using a 2:1 ratio mixture of Green and True Blue. Allow to dry.  Spray with Porcelain Mist.  Dry brush this area with Forest Green then highlight with Yellow Green, Marigold, Lemon Meringue, and Orange Peel.  Use each of these colors in decreasing amounts until the last one is just in spots.

5.      Dry brush the smooth areas of the Chapel walls with White.

6.      Apply Red Maple to all of the timbers and the front door.  Allow to dry.  Spray with Porcelain Mist.

7.      Paint the window frames with Flat Black then dry brush with Copper.  Highlight with Turquoise.

8.      Paint the door hardware with Flat Black then highlight with Copper.

9.      Paint all nail heads with Flat Black.

10.  Spray the entire piece with Porcelain Mist and allow to dry.
